Abstract
Research into the control of Tetranychus cinnabarinus in strawberry fields located in the eastern Mediterranean region of Turkey is presented. The studies were conducted from 1987 89. The acaricides found to be appropriate for the control of red spider mites are detailed. The impacts of the application of acaricides during an early fruit stage are examined. Mites could be controlled throughout the fruiting season by an application of dicofol, dicofol plus tetradifon, or one of the other acaricides. Fruits could not be picked until at least a week after application.
