Abstract
Methods are described for the normal-phase separation of some styrene oligomers by TEC and by overpressured-layer chromatography (OPLC) using the automated OPLC chromatograph. Results obtained by these techniques were compared on the basis of their separation parameters to study the relationship Item een average plate height and development distance, resolution, and average retardation factor, and the correlation between R-M and degree of polymerization. To characterize the automatic OPLC system, the dependence of average plate height on flow rate and development distance was examined by use of TLC and HPTLC sorbent layers.
