Abstract
Positively charged: A screening system for the directed evolution of epoxygenases has been developed. Validation reveals that introducing a positively charged amino acid at position 184 (see picture) results in inversion of enantioselectivity in the epoxidation of styrene. The synthetic potential of epoxygenases can now be tailored by methods of directed evolution. (Figure Presented) © 2006 Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH &. Co. KGaA.
