Abstract
In this paper, a hybrid low-profile dielectric resonator antenna is presented. The studied antenna is composed by five Alumina dielectric resonator (epsilon r=9.8) inserted in the faces of an Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) substrate and it is fed by a SMA connector which the body is the ground plane. As a result, the antenna present five resonance frequencies 18.17 GHz, 19.82 GHz, 21.2 GHz, 27 GHz and 29.09 GHz, which are suitable for 5G, radars of military airplanes and Satellite television applications.
