A short review concerning three main topics is presented with a few suggestions. The first topic deals with better control in emulsion polymerization, with the following sub-topics : polymerization processes, polymer structure, particle morphology and surface functionalization. The second topic is about non radical emulsion polymerization, such as ionic, catalytic coordination or condensation mechanisms. Finally polymerizations in unusual media are shortly treated.
