Abstract
Annual rept. 1 Jan-30 Dec 2000. Original contains color plates: All DTIC reproductions will be in black and white. Prostate cancer is an important health problem that affects not only men, but also their families, friends, and communities. The Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs provide for innovative research on this and other priority diseases. Among its programs is the Minority Population Focused Collaborative Training Award, which is designed to emphasize disparities in prostate cancer incidence and mortality among different ethnic groups. In this context, the program promotes research on cross-cutting issues, including the study of underserved populations and barriers to timely and relevant access to quality health care.
