An attempt is made to connect the mechanical behavior of impact reinforced polymer blends, here poly(methyl methacrylate) reinforced by poly(styrene-co-butyl acrylate), with the behavior of each parent polymer. Two cases are considered: the linear behavior, studied by dynamic mechanical measurements, and the plastic flow behavior. As a first approximation, classical non-proportional mixing laws, enlarged by the concept of percolation, seem to predict both mechanical behaviors.
