The author presents an examination procedure which is suitable to judge the embryotoxicity, including teratogenicity of xenobiotics in bird embryos. The article demonstrates the adventages and disadventages of the bird embryo test and the egg treatment, morphological, biochemical, laboratory diagnostic and analytical chemistry methods. These examinations make possible the demonstration of ecotoxicological properties of chemicals and the protection of the environment.
