The heats of solution of hexadecane in mixtures of methanol, 1-butanol, and I-octanol with 1,4-dioxane or dihexyl ether were measured. The excess enthalpies (H-E) of these binary mixtures were determined. The existence of linear dependences of H-E on the number of carbon atoms in I-alkanol molecules was shown. An equation for calculating the heats of solution of hexadecane in alcohol-dioxane and alcohol-dihexyl ether mixtures from the composition of the mixture and the number of carbon atoms in the alcohol molecule was obtained.<
