Abstract
In 1973, a major investigation of asbestos fibers in water and sediment samples of Lake Superior began at Canada Centre for Inland Waters. A procedure for obtaining total fibers per litre of water samples was developed. This report documents that procedure, describing problems encountered and suggested solutions, and outlining the mathematical equations for determining fibers per litre. (Environment Canada)
