Abstract
Conditions have been found for an efficient regioselective beta-hydrosilylation of allylbenzene, 2-allyl-1-trimethylsiloxybenzene, 4-allyl-1,2-(methylenedioxy)benzene, allylpentafluorobenzene, and 4-allyl-2-methoxy-1-trimethylsiloxybenzene with D-4(H) in the presence of Karstedt's-catalyst or platinum black under mild conditions leading quantitatively to functionalized tetramethylcyclosiloxanes 3.
