With the expansion of the city, municipal waste production increasing, a large number of e-waste put into the landfill, which have caused soil heavy metals pollution around the landfill. This paper, Da Tong Huainan City Landfill as an example, is to study the heavy metal pollution characteristics of the surrounding farmland soil. The results showed that the living waste landfill has caused heavy metal contamination of soil surrounding farmland. The extent of heavy metal pollution for farmland surrounding the landfill is: Cd> Hg > Cu > Ni > Pb > Cr; and the elements of Cd and Hg belong to middle-strong ecological harm; the others belong to slight ecological harm. It is significant to treat heavy metal pollution of soil surrounding landfill.
