The objective of this paper is to investigate the exogenous chemicals that interfere with natural hormonal functions and considered endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs). Estrone (E1) and Estradiol (17 beta-estradiol or E2) are natural female hormones and the most potent of all xenoestrogens. The occurrence of estrone (El) and 17 beta-estradiol (E2), in the tissues of different edible fish and shellfish, collected along the Virginia Coast was analyzed by solid-phase extraction and analysis by gas chromatography, mass spectrometry (GC MS). Collective (El and E2) mean value was determined in all samples. El in male and female fishes were ranged as
