Abstract
The TALL-3D facility built by KTH in the scope of the European THINS project aims at investigating the behavior of lead-bismuth eutectic under forced and natural circulation. The design additionally presents complex 3D flowing patterns in a pool.GRS developed a multi-scale thermal-hydraulics computational framework based on a coupling between a CFD code and a system code. The coupled program enables the simulation of the entire primary side of the TALL-3D facility at affordable cost but still provides 3D information where complex flow phenomena need to be accounted forTUM performs Uncertainty and Sensitivity Analysis of the TALL-3D experiment using GRS' computational framework In the present paper a Sensitivity Analysis is performed. The influence of modeling uncertainty on the model output is investigated. This analysis is brought to a detailed level with the monitoring of local effects within the pool.
