Abstract
CRH and glucocorticoids have opposing effects on energy balance through their actions on food intake and autonomic responses to feeding. The glucocorticoid effects on fat intake but not carbohydrate feeding may be secondary to changes in CRH secretion. An excessive responsiveness to glucocorticoids may be a characteristic of animals prone to develope obesity.
