Abstract
Attempts to improve performance are as old as human competition. It seems that both elite and recreational athletes use banned substances that pose health hazard. In comparison with the Olympic sports, data on illegal enhancement in extreme disciplines is scarce. However, it can be assumed that extreme sport lovers are exposed to doping alike other sportspersons. The problem has not been addressed in the medical literature so far.
