Abstract
The patient is a 17-year-old white female who was seen for primary amenorrhea. Her mother states that she was healthy during her childhood years other than having several surgeries for repair of cleft lip and palate. Upon further questioning, she is not able to smell foods or other common smells. Her mother had normal puberty but she also has diminished sense of smell. Her mother’s brother reportedly had delayed puberty, cleft palate, and subsequent infertility. The patient is a 17-year-old white female who was seen for primary amenorrhea.
