Abstract
Gestational trophoblastic disease (GTD) includes a spectrum of benign and malignant tumors. In the spectrum are complete and partial hydatidiform mole which are benign tumors with malignant potential. The invasive mole, choriocarcinoma, placental site trophoblastic tumor (PSTT), and epithelioid trophoblastic tumor (ETT) are malignant tumors and have varying propensities for local invasion and metastasis. Persistent GTD, also called gestational trophoblastic neoplasia (GTN), includes invasive mole, choriocarcinoma, PSTT, and ETT [1].
