Abstract
Riociguat is methyl 4,6-diamino-2-[1-(2-fluorobenzyl)-1Hpyrazolo [3,4-b]pyridin-3-yl]-5-pyrim-idinyl(methyl) carbamate (1), designed using 1-(2-fluorobenzyl)-1H-pyrazolo[3,4-b]pyridine-3-carboxa-midine hydrochloride (2) as start material, which was successfully obtained via multiple synthesis route and finally characterized by IR,1H NMR, and single crystal X-ray crystallography. In addition, in vitro anticancer activity of the title compound 1 on three human osteogenic sarcoma cell lines (MG-63, U2OS and 143B) was further determined. © 2018, Colegio de Farmaceuticos de la Provincia de Buenos Aires.
