Abstract
The toxic effect of 3 carbamate insecticides, cartap, propoxur and carbaryl, was investigated in relation to the following aquatic organisms: Salmo trutta morpha fario, Cyprinus carpio, Lebistes reticulatus, Aedes aegypti and Daphnia magna. LD50 of the investigated population after 96 h of exposure was the adopted measure of toxic influence. Cartap was the most dangerous insecticide for the aquatic environment; propoxur was the least dangerous.
