An account is given of a fatal, suicidal poisoning with Sevin. The clinical course of the poisoning as well as the results of the autopsy and chemical investigation are described. Identification of the compound was accomplished by thin-layer chromatography; quantitative determination was achieved spectrophotometrically using the diazotized sulfanilic-acid reaction. The author also describes the distribution of Sevin in various organs. © 1969 Springer-Verlag.
