Abstract
Atactic polypropylene was functionalized by reaction with dicumyl peroxide (8 wt.â%) and allyl compounds (8 wt.â%) such as eugenol methylether, allylphenylether, allylurea, Nâallylthiourea, diethyl allylmalonate, Nâallylaniline at 170°C. Using tertâbutyl azidoformate carbamate groups (1.8 wt.â%) were attached to atactic polypropylene. The mechanism of both types of reactions is discussed. © 1987 Hüthig & Wepf Verlag, Basel
