Abstract
The production and properties of Cellca, a new fibre based on the viscose system, is described. It is based on the reaction between cellulose and urea to create cellulose carbamate. Cellca can be used instead of viscose rayon in existing nonwovens lines. In the case of wet laying, a much stronger product is obtained.
