Abstract
Isothermal (30 °C) and isobarlc (700 mmHg) vapor-liquid equilibrium data were measured for the binary systems diethyl ether-halothane, halothane-methanol, and diethyl ether-methanol by using a recirculation still proposed by Rock and Sleg. From these data liquid-phase activity coefficients were fitted by using the Margules, van Laar, Wilson, NRTL, and UNIQUAC equation. Vapor pressure measurements of the pure substances were carried out, and the data were correlated with the Antoine equation. © 1980, American Chemical Society. All rights reserved.
