Abstract
Using photography, we studied the mechanism of TATB (1,3,5-triamino 2,4,6-trinitrobenzene) combustion in a constant-pressure bomb in the range of pressure from the lower limit up to 1000 atm. We analyze data for other nitrocompounds containing amino groups, and discuss the interconnection between the effect of self-inhibition on combustion and sensitivity to mechanical initiation.
