Abstract
In this work experimental values for the refractive index nD, speed of sound u, and isentropic compressibility kS of binary mixtures of n-hexane with (1-butanol, 1-hexanol, and 1-octanol) at T = 298.15 K and atmospheric pressure are presented. From the experimental values, the corresponding excess and deviation values were computed (changes of refractive index, changes of speed of sound, and changes of isentropic compressibilities) using variable-degree polynomials to fit the data. © 1998 Academic Press.
