Abstract
Elemental analyses of the mandibles of two Kalotermitid termites, Incisitermes minor and Cryptotermes domesticus, were performed by PIXE. The mandibles were found to have zinc as a predominant metal on their cutting edges; on the other hand, they possess manganese through the pigmentation area. Chloride was generally present on the mandibles, especially on the cutting edges accompanied by zinc.
