Abstract
1. A study has been made of the thermodesorption of cyclohexane from zeolites of various structures and from cationic and decationized forms of zeolite Y. Each cyclohexane thermodesorption spectra showed a single peak. 2. Exchange of Na for Li, and Mg, and increase of the degree of decationization of the Y zeolite to 75%, had practically no effect on either the temperature of the maximum on the thermodesorption peak or the value of the effective diffusion coefficient. 3. A study of the thermodesorption of cyclohexane, cyclohexene, cyclohexa-1,4-diene, and benzene from the Li-form of zeolite Y showed the temperature of the maximum on the thermodesorption peak to be shifted toward higher temperatures, and the effective diffusion coefficient reduced, by an increase in the degree of unsaturation in the hydrocarbon molecule. 1980 Plenum Publishing Corporation.
