Abstract
1. The kinetics of the liquid-phase sulfoxidation of cyclohexane, initiated by dicyclohexylperoxidicarbonate at 75°, was studied. 2. A mechanism was proposed for the process, including a reaction of the cyclohexyl radical with oxygen and of the cyclohexylsulfonyl radical with the wall of the reactor as reactions of chain termination. The relative rate constants of the reaction were determined. 1976 Plenum Publishing Corporation.
