The phosphasilenes Is2SiPR (Is = 2,4,6‐tri‐isopropylphenyl, R = SiMe2tBu, SiiFr3) are remarkably thermally stable. At about 60°C, they react with white phosphorus to give the 1,2,3‐triphospha‐4‐silabicyclo[ 1.1.0]butanes 1. Compounds with P3Si framework thus join the known P4, Si4, and P2Si2 heterobicyclobutanes.
