Abstract
3-Aminodibenzofuran reacts with salicylaldehyde in the presence of a metal ion giving crystalline complexes of the type [ML(OAc). H2O], where M = Co11, Ni11,Cu11, Zn11 and Cd11 and L = monoanion of the Schiff base. The complexes are found to have four coordination number.
