Abstract
The esterification of benzyl acetate catalyzed by (Me3 SiGH2)3 SnCl was studied. The synthesis conditions were optimized with orthogonal experiment. The results showed that a satisfied catalytic activity was got by using (Me3SiCH2)3SnCl, the esterification rate of benzyl acetate was 91.5% after 3.5 h while the mass ratio of (Me3SiGH2)3SnCl, benzyl alcohols, toluene was 0. 015 : 1 : 0. 8 and the molar ratio of acetic acid to benzyl alcohols was 3. 5 1.
