Title
MORE WAX AVAILABLE WITH MIBK DE-OILING

Abstract
The MIBK Was Deoiling Process is a flexible, high yield, energy efficient system for the manufacture of fully refined paraffin and microcrystalline waxes. Waxy feedstocks can be tailored for optimal processing and product wax properties because the MIBK wax deoiling unit is not part of the dewaxing unit. Forming the first wax crystals in the presence of a very small amount of solvent gives wax filter cakes that retain less oil than conventional wax filter cakes. The cold wash solvent needed is therefore lower. Operations are continuous, without interruption for hot washing of filters, and are conducted at convenient temperatures.
