The air in underground parking garages is loaded with numerous pollutants emitted by motor vehicles. Given what we know about the damaging effects of automobile pollution in the open air, assessment of the health risks in these closed facilities is clearly necessary. The absence of various data makes this procedure imprecise, but a partial risk assessment is a start.
