Abstract
Poland's AMZ Kutno introduced its new 4 × 4 Tur 2 heavy all-protected patrol vehicle at Eurosatory exhibition in Paris. The 9.4-tonne vehicle provide a high level of protection including STANAG 4569 level 3 armoring of the crew compartment and level 2A+2B for mine-blast protection. The vehicle allows protection from the explosion of a 6 kg TNT mine under any wheel and under the belly. The AMZ-Kunto is expected to provide protection against 8 kg TNT anti-tank mines at a level of 3A. The Tur 2 can be equipped with crew served and remote weapon station (RWS). The Tur 2 is based on a chassis developed by Ranault Trucks for the Sherpa 2/3 high mobility vehicles and powered by a 4.5-elite four-cylinder Cummins diesel engine to provide 220 bhp to the four-wheel-drive set-up through a six-speed Allison 2500 automatic gear box.
