Abstract
The KBP Instrument Design Bureau from Tula has developed a new 125 mm-calibre guided round for the 9K119-1 Refleks missile system, fitted to T-80U/UD and T-90/S main battle tanks and the 9K120 of the T-72B/S. The new 3UBK14F round, suitable for urban warfare operations is intended for use against personnel and small targets including small bunkers, snipers, anti-tank missile teams and even anti-tank guided missile crews. It is based on the 9M119F missile whose 9N142F high explosive warhead has the destructive effects equivalent to about 5 kg of TNT. The 9N142F can be used at ranges of 100-500 m, and has an average speed of 294 m/sec and a flight time to maximum range of 17 seconds. A skilled operator is able to send the round through a window or door at maximum range.
