Abstract
Soft medicinal phytopreparations used for the treatment and prophylaxis of various disorders in dermatology, gynecology, dentistry, and cosmetology are reviewed. The rational combination of basic substances with appropriate auxiliary substances and the use of optimum technological schemes in the production of soft medicinal forms for external use (ointments, gels, creams, and liniments) provide for a significantly increase in the quality and therapeutic properties of such products. © 2005 Springer Science+Business Media, Inc.
