Abstract
An evaluation on coating HMX crystals with three different polymeric binders using the âsolvent slurry processâ was conducted. Three polymers employed were: a thermoplastic copolymer [KelâF 3700], a thermoplastic elastomer [kratonâG 1650] and a polyurethane [Impranil DLH]. KelâF 3700 presented an electrostatic hazard and was too insoluble for application by the slurry process. KratonâG 1650 presented a similar electrostatic hazard and its process yield was low. Impranil DLH produced a high yield using the batch slurry process. Copyright © 1992 Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim
