Abstract
An apparatus is described for the determination of the dielectric constants of small amounts of liquid, with an accuracy of 1â2 units in the fourth decimal place. With this apparatus some pure hexanes, heptanes and octanes were studied at temperatures between 20° and 50° C. The results of the measurements are used for the computation of the polarisability of the molecules with the aid of Böttcher's method. Copyright © 1950 WILEYâVCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim
