Abstract
Tertiary, secondary, and benzylic alcohols were reductively alkylated and reduced with trimethyl-, triethyl-, and triisopropylboron/trifluoromethanesulfonic (triflic) acid. A postulated mechanism for the reactions is discussed. © 1991, American Chemical Society. All rights reserved.
