Abstract
A tri-component solvent including"alkane+alcohol+complexing agent"was designed to remove ash from polypropylene(PP), which reduced the residual content of Ti, Mg, Al and improved the purity of PP. The effects of detergent type, compounding method, washing time, and washing temperature on the ash removal were observed. The results show that the purity of PP is significantly improved in which the total ash content is reduced to 38 μg/g, the removal rate reaches 50.1% when n-hexane/acetylacetone/ethanol compounding solvent is used to wash PP. © 2020, Beijing Yanshan Branch, Assets Management Corporation, SINOPEC.
