1. Diesters of 2-ethoxy-, 2-propoxy-, 2-butoxy-, and 2-hexyloxy-vinylphosphonic acids have been synthesized by the action of alcohols in presence of pyridine on the corresponding 2-alkoxyvinylphosphonic dichlorides. 2. The dimethyl, diethyl, dipropyl, diisopropyl, dibutyl, diisobutyl, diallyl, dihexyl, bis(2-methoxyethyl),and bis(2-ethoxyethyl) esters of 2-ethoxy-, 2-propoxy-, 2-butoxy-, and 2-hexyloxy-vinylphosphonic acids have been prepared. © 1955 Consultants Bureau, Inc.
