Abstract
1. In alcohol solution, the paramagnetic centers that are formed in the heat treatment of anthracene greatly increase the probability of singlet-singlet transition in the anthracene in the concentration range 1016-1018 spins/g. 2. Apparently, the variation in the fluorescence yield and the chemical reactivity of anthracene are determined by the same factor. © 1967 Consultants Bureau.
