Abstract
1. The isotherms of adsorption were determined and the kinetics of adsorption of benzene vapors by microporous activated charcoals MSC-5A and MSC-6A at 298°K and of n-hexane vapors by Supersorbon activated charcoal at 293°K was studied. 2. An analysis of the experimental data on the kinetics of adsorption showed that a calculation of the effective diffusion coefficients with the aid of solutions of the Fick equation of nonstatic diffusion in general is inapplicable to the adsorbent-adsorbate systems studied in the work, as a consequence of the bidispersed nature of the porous structure of microporous adsorbents. © 1975 Plenum Publishing Corporation.
