Abstract
1. Polycyclic aromatic compounds are hydrogenated in the presence of complex rhodium catalysts at a high rate under mild conditions. 2. Anthracene is hydrogenated to 1,2,3,4-tetrahydroanthracene. 3. A possible mechanism of the process, in which dynamic stabilization of the active center of the complex catalyst is realized, was proposed. © 1969 Consultants Bureau.
