Abstract
Benzaldehyde was prepared from benzyl alcohol using hydrogen peroxide as oxidant. The effects of catalytic activity of tungsten-containing catalyst, reaction time, reaction temperature, mole ratio of reactants and the amount of catalyst on the yield of benzaldehyde were studied. The results indicated that the separation yield of benzaldehyde was up to 73.63% using sodium tungstate dihydrate as catalyst at the temperature of 90â in 3 hour when the mole ratio of benzyl alcohol, hydrogen peroxide and sodium tungstate dihydrate was 100:107:1. © 2016, The Press of NUC.
