Abstract
The full-color phosphors Ca-2(Ca2x/3In1-xNbx/3)NbO6:Eu3+ were prepared by a solid-state reaction and their photoluminescence properties were investigated in this study. The excitation spectra of Ca-2(Ca2x/3In1-xNbx/3)NbO6:Eu3+ have two regions: one is assigned to the charge-transfer state (CTS) band of Eu3+-O2- at about 300 nm, and the other is assigned to the intra-4f transitions of Eu3+ at 350-600 nm. The emission spectra of Ca-2(Ca2x/3In1-xNbx/3)NbO6:Eu3+ phosphors excited at 396 nm exhibit a series of sharp peaks from 400 to 700 nm (whole visible spectral region) with comparable intensities, which result in a white light emission. Moreover, the intensity ratio of blue emission (D-5(3)-> F-7(2)) to red emission (D-5(0)-> F-7(2)) was observed to increase with decrease of x. (C) 2014 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
