Abstract
1. The chemiluminescence accompanying the decomposition of dicyclohexylperoxydicarbonate (PC) in poly-2,2-propane-bis-4-phenylcarbonate, polystyrene, and polymethylmethacrylate was studied. 2. Chemiluminescence arises on account of the formation of triplet-excited molecules of cyclohexanone during cell recombination of radicals formed in the thermal decomposition of PC. 3. The radii of energy transfer from an excited molecule of cyclohexanone to molecules of anthracene, dibromoanthracene, rhodamine 6Zh, and benzil in polystyrene and polycarbonate were measured. The values obtained do not agree with those calculated according to the Forster theory. © 1971 Consultants Bureau.
