Abstract
1. Molybdenum oxide, either alone or when deposited on SiO2 gel or MgO, catalyzes the dehydrocyclization of n-hexane and 1-hexene under pulse conditions. 2. The presence of sextet active centers is not obligatory for the dehydrocyclization action of molybdenum oxide catalysts. Their activity is apparently associated with the dehydrogenating properties of molybdenum oxide. © 1973 Consultants Bureau.
