Abstract
The research and application progress of hydrogenation catalysts for cracking C2 fraction from ethylene in China are reviewed in terms of the thermodynamics and kinetics of C2 hydrogenation, the supports, active components, preparation methods, structure and properties, pilot experiment and industrial application of catalysts for C2 hydrogenation. The supports of C2 hydrogenation catalyst are composed of alumina and the active component is Pd-Ag.The research & development of the catalyst in future involve improving the activity and selectivity of the catalyst, reducing the formation of green oil, enhancing the dispersion of active components and anti-sintering performance, reducing the use of precious metals, and prolonging the single service life of the catalyst. © 2021, Beijing Yanshan Branch, Assets Management Corporation, SINOPEC.
